According to the national chapter's website, the University Advisor of the Year award "is presented to recognize those University Advisors that help our undergraduate chapters on campus. This advisor not only supports our Hermanas, but also Greek Life in general. Without the contributions of these very important administrators our organizations could not continue to thrive on these campuses." The Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc. (SIA) has focused on offering women an opportunity to unite in the interest of leadership, community service, women empowerment, social/cultural awareness and sisterhood at the local and national level.

 

This award attests to the extraordinary work that Tasha does as an advisor and her impact on supporting students' leadership and excellence beyond the classroom.
