Continuation of BASQ401, with an exhaustive initial overview. Basque is an isolate language spoken in the Basque Country of northern Spain, southern France and the Basque diaspora in Western US and elsewhere. It is unrelated to any modern language. The course may be adapted depending on enrolled students’ needs & interests, but will be focused on the learning of the language, with additional readings and activities concerning its history and development.

Conducted in English. 3 credit hours. Counts towards Spanish major & minor.

No pre-requisites: Students without prior experience with Basque are also encouraged to enroll.
