Beatriz Jiménez, recipient of SLCL Dissertation Completion Fellowship & Douglas A. Kibbee Prize

Graduate student Beatriz Jiménez has been selected as anSLCL Dissertation Completion Fellowship for her dissertation project “The search for tesoros in Mexico: Shifting Discourses and Representations of Enforced Disappearances in Mexican Cinema,” a project for which is has also received the 2025 Douglas A. Kibbee Prize, an award given to the student of whose dissertation project is judged by the School’s Executive Committee to be of particular scholarly significance and quality.
