Two of our graduate students have received competitive Tinker Foundation Field Research Grants from the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies to conduct research in Latin America:

  • Lorena Fabiana Alarcón for her project Identity and Language in Andean Spanish in Juyjuy, Argentina

  • Flávia Batista da Silva  for her project "Righting" Foreign Policy: Bolsonaro's Electoral Campaign in Brazil and the Venezuelan Crisis

The mission of the Tinker Foundation is to promote the development of an equitable, sustainable, and productive society in Latin America and to enhance understanding in the U.S. of Latin America and how U.S policies may impact the region.
