Biography

Sam Kadlec is a graduate student in the Master's of Spanish Literature and Cultures program. She is also currently working as a TA for SPAN 130: Intermediate Spanish and SPAN 248: Latin American Diaspora Film. Before arriving at UIUC, Sam graduated from the College of William & Mary with a B.A in Hispanic Studies and a B.A in Anthropology in 2022. The 2022-2023 school year, she served as part of the Americorps in Central Texas as a literacy interventionist in bilingual kindergarten, first, and second grade classrooms. As a graduate student, she is interested in memory studies as well as testimony in Spain and Latin America.
