Pleasure and Fun, In Spite of It All (Spain, 1898-1960)

This class examines how various sorts of pleasure and fun were represented and policed and how pleasure was created through literature, art, and film during an angst-ridden period. We hope to find pleasure and fun in our own explorations as well. Readings and discussion will be in Spanish.

Prerequisites: SPAN 312 & SPAN 320, or Consent of Instructor
