Borgeson was a professor of Latin American literature in the Department of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese from 1981 until his death in 1999. Paul’s family, his wife, Mary, and his children, Jennifer and David, endowed this scholarship in Paul’s memory to honor his career and to encourage like-minded undergraduates to study in the countries of Central and South America.
